Rhubarb Squares


Well tis the season of Rhubarb (that by the way I cannot eat) this is our families favorite dessert of all time! Whipped up some tonight for them to enjoy!

Rhubarb Squares
16 servings.
Filling:
  1. Combine flour and powdered sugar; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Press into the bottom of a greased 11-inch x 7-inch x 2-inch baking pan.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees F for 12 minutes.
  4. For filling, combine the first four ingredients in a bowl.
  5. Stir in rhubarb; pour over a warm crust. Bake at 350 F for 35-40 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  6. Cool on wire rack.
  7. Serve warm if desired.
  8. Store in refrigerator.

Well after the last week of dance and allergies and a head cold its been a long week. The upcoming week isn't crazy but it is a very special week. My punk girl cuts her hair of for the Alberta Childrens Hospital! The week concludes with a visit to the Hospital and Zoo.
So nothing really exciting but it is exciting for us!

Friday - Chicken Wings Eat out
Saturday -(Dance Recital) -Freezer Meal Pizza
Sunday - Turkey Chicken Wings

Monday - BBQ'd Chicken
Tuesday - (Skating - Soccer) - Left overs
Wednesday - (haircut) - Freezer Meal
Thursday - (Skating) - Take out - Driving
Friday - AWAY
Saturday - AWAY
Sunday - AWAY

Meal Plan {{May 19th - May 25th}}

Hello all! Miss me? Its been crazy around here. Like so busy I am in bed right after the kids and out by 9:30pm. Sad but sleep is so needed for a happy Momma. Anyway last week we we just flew by the seat of our pants and it was the punk girls b-day weekend....long weekend baby!

Meal Plan {{May 5th - May 11th}}

Well we are full blown into the single parent life and it SUCKS! Oh well. We survived the Kidney walk and our little community raised over $28,000. Woohoo! Well with the crazy week ahead we aill eat out more than normal...thank heavens for Salads! See you next week!

Saturday - Ribs & Salad (Maybe Potatos for the kiddos)
Sunday - Cilantro Lime Chicken w/rice & riced Cauliflower
